Citroen Hdi coolant change.

My C5 is coming up to three years old, and I guess its time to change the coolant. Is there anything I need to look out for on the two litre HDi , or is it as straightforward as it seems? Also, any opinions on what I should put in it, ready mixed coolant or good old fashioned Bluecol diluted to suit?

TIA

i thought it was every 2 years you had to change the coolant?

A decent coolant should last 4 years max. Its not the anti freeze bit which gives out, but the corrosion inhibitors, and then your nice alloy head starts to get munched slowly away :-(

Most if not all of my handbooks and BOLs say every two years but if yours says different then ok. I would think however, that of you are using a bog standard antifreeze then a two yearly change would be in order if only for peace of mind.
