Cold Rough Starting

I suppose many people have had the same problem over Christmas....

Started my N-reg Rover 214 SEi tonight for the first time in 4 days. Thought it wasn't going to start - seemed to stuggle to fire up. Fired up after a number of seconds, battery light stayed on and it was really quite rough.

Waited a min or so and pressed accelerator - battery light went off, and I set off and it didn't really smooth down until engine warmed up.

So the question is, is there anything that can be done to prevent cars being rough after saitting in cold weather for a few days?

It did it earlier in the year after being stood for a week (in summer), but new rotor arm/dizzy cap seems to cure.

Cheers Paul.

Might just be a bit of damp - WD40 everywhere might cure it.
