corsa has no gears

You stir and stir but can't find one? Linkage has fallen apart. You try, but it graunches and grinds? Clutch problem.

Had that happen in a Tipo, thankfully the engine had enough grunt to pull away in 3rd (the only gear I could wedge it in!) and limped home. Sod of a job to change though, had to drop exhaust off to get to the connection under the gearstick :(

What age of corsa? If the levers flopping about, then it's a link age problem.

Can you select a gear with the engine stopped?

Plastic bush on the linkage has disintegrated and fallen out. Replacement available for ~£3 from Vauxhall, for a revised nylon one.

it will go in to gear but no movement after lifting clutch i mean will not engage at all no forward or backward like there are no gears there! slips into gear where 1st 2nd 3rd etc should be but no engagement of accelerator and gears after lifting clutch, clutch depresses, cable in engine compartment attached but no movement
