My car has the indicator switch on the left, and the wipers on the right. I have no problem with them.
The worst I ever found was a US Ford Fairmont, which was one of the first of their 'Europeanised' models, ie with column stalks instead of knobs on the dashboard. The car should never have been approved for production, as the driver had to reach beyond the long gear selector lever to find a short stalk behind, which was the wiper control. It was a recipe for disaster.
