Fiat Brava problem

Hi folks, I'm after a bit of feedback wrt a problem I'm, experiencing with my Fait Brava atm.

For some reason the engine cuts out (not always, sometimes it just tries to) when you stop at a junction when started from cold. Even worse, when you put your foot on the accelerator (when it hasn't cut out!) there is no response for a couple of seconds - obviously depending on the type of road you are trying to pull on onto it can result in a worrying couple of seconds.

I got a local company to come to work today to check things out, no probs with spark plugs, ht leads, air filter, emissions all checked out ok and the computer on the car was talking to his computer with no problems.

Initial diagnosis is that the water temperature sensor might not be doing what it should, and to replace it isn't an expensive outlay or difficult to do.

I've got no problems with the diagnosis, I'm just wondering if anyone else had suffered similar problems and what else might cause the current problem?
