Posting on behalf of a friend... He's got a 52 reg Ford Fusion 3 1.6 Zetec, that is flat spotting under accel, with a judder apparent, at around

2000rpm but seems fine when above 2500-3000rpm. He's changed leads and air filter but not plugs, and engine ticks over fine, no overheating etc.. I'm thinking sensor problems? Any advice appreciated so I can pass it on! Cheers.

genuine plugs, genuine leads, genuine coil (in that order)

Thanks, I'd forgotten about advising coil too, appreciate the quick response!

What Mrcheerful said could also be the maf.

Gap the plugs down to 1- 1.1mm from the stock 1.3 also.
