It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold. I remember Maria saying something like:

There are many people here with lots of experience with a wide range of vehicles. Just ask your questions and sit back.
Obviously in an open forum, you can get differing advice, occasionally even quite wrong but I assure you that there are enough contributors here, for it to be quickly discarded.

your not very good for at this online forum NG thingy are you? better stick with a 1.1 Ford Fiesta little lady and flutter your eyes at the mechanic.
For maintenance questions, yes. Ask away. There is a specific web forum for these motors too. Many knowledgeable people there. A friend in London has one of these. I was working on it with him over the weekend. What a *bastard* engine to work on!

I think there's plenty of talk of common electrical problems on there, and a facsimile of the original handbook (which I believe so often goes adrift). Good luck!
