Yes.
No rust protection to speak of.
They'll be one of those cars that was everywhere, but all of a sudden disappear from the roads over a very short timescale - much like the MkIV Escort etc.

Prise away rubber door strips and check welded seams ..... water gets trapped under rubber and attacks poorly treated welded seams forming rust and can spread thro cill etc. Just spotted it in time on the specimen I've just bought . Could this be the reason why some older KA's failed MOT's ?

Or for those of us old enough to remember, the Vauxhall Victor.. IIRC it was about six months :0)
I do often wonder what's happened to all the MkV Cortinas and MkII Chavaliers. They just went AWOL overnight.

KA's can fail their first MOT due to serious structural corrosion. Good old Ford. Too miserable to paint there cars properly.
