My friend has just bought a P reg Nissan Serena people carrier. The only thing she does not like about it is the load buzzer alarm that sounds all the time a door is open while the engine is switched off. She was told by the dealer that this is something to do with the engine immobiliser. Is this normal? Can it be overridden? It is most inconvenient to have the alarm wake up little children who have fallen asleep while driving by opening doors when stationary.
