My Mondeo, 2002 reg 1.8LX has just had a new battery fitted. I have recoded the radio etc but notice the outside temperature readout now shows F rather than C. I need to know the C temp for my work.
The handbook does not tell you how to change it.
Anybody got any clues?
There's a button bottom left of the dial. Press it.

What type of work needs to use this really accurate gauge?
I am involved in injection of resins into cracks in structures. Resin viscosities vary with temperature and I have to log the approximate temp at time of injection. Driving to site a look at the temp guage gives me a good general idea.

I'd not trust them to be accurate to anything more than a few degrees either side.

Used to be Subtract 32, divide by 9, multiply by 5 when I was at school.

The general principle was correct.
I'm only in early middle age, so have never really used Fahrenheit.
Me neither, but I would remember (F-32)*5/9 = C for future reference.
The newspapers always revert to Fahrenheit when it gets really hot. Somehow "Phew what a scorcher. 41 degrees" just doesn't do it.
And they switch back to Celsius when it's cold "It'll be freezing tonight as the temperature drops below zero" Never "It'll be freezing tonight as the temperature drops to 30 degrees".
Funny that, I hadn't really clocked that but yes they do seem to do it.
