Owner's Handbook

Hi All

Can anyone please tell me where I might be able to get an owner's handbook for my Pug 306 (2000) apart from the main dealers? I have 'googled' it but have been unsuccessful.

My local main dealer said they don't have any copies in store and it's out of print. So I asked if it could be ordered from their central warehouse. Without checking, the answer was an unhelpful "no".

So I telephoned the next nearest dealer and they said they don't have one in stock. He searched their central warehouse stock, without the need to prompt, and found one for 2001 cars and told me it will cost £12 to order one, which seemed a bit steep for a handbook. I don't think the year will make too much of a difference, will it?

So I telephoned another dealer and they said they had one and it will cost £8. It still seems a bit steep. Thus it leads me back to my initial question...

Thanks

There are a few on Ebay at the mo. If you're lucky you might save a couple of quid after postage has been factored in!

Thanks, but they're for earlier years.

The £8.00 one sounds your best bet, but you just reminded me of something that happened at a rally a few years ago.

I was looking round autojumble stalls, and at one of them a geezer picked up an owners handbook for something like a standard ten. He asked the stallholder how much it was and got the reply "eight quid" So the geezer says " Eight quid? it says 3/9d on the cover" So the stallholder says " Well if you've got 3/9d I'll take it"

And he had!.

Out came a pocketful of old sixpences and threepenny bits, and the stallholder was extremely pissed off.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking, cheers.

LOL
