A friend of mine has lost a parking permit down the front window blower.
Is there an easy way to retrieve this without major dash dismantling?

Take the heater blower matrix off the firewall under the bonnet and stick yer hand up there like a cows bottom.

Sadly, however, not to remove paper but because of a leaking heater matrix.
I just noticed that with the unit removed you could get to some of the gubbins inside.

maybe a cow ate his parking permit.
as a non invesive alternative to the OPs problem, try taping shut all the other air duct outlets inside the car.only leave a tiny area open where you lost the permit. then switch the fan on max. hopefully it will be blown out. at worse you might blow off a duct or two inside the dashboard which will require much cursing with your head under the dash to reconnect.

Yes, I have stuck my hand up a cows bum and inside the heater system of a polo, my dad is a dairy farmer :)
