Passat B5 TDi Rear brake pad replacement

As subject - Anything to watch out for that's tricky?

Never seem them. Is it a case of simply winding the pistons back, putting in new pads, adjusting the handbrake and that's it? Or is it one of those daft "drum-in-disc" handbrakes?

I appear to have agreed to buy an 03 plate one of these. It needs rear pads.

Isn't there a chance that air has got into the brake line and should they be bled at the end?

best to let the dirty fluid out at the caliper, a wind back tool is essential, there is no need to touch the hb cable.
