passat problems re previous post....

Yep, I should have said 'press the clutch pedal.' sorry. Something else I have just noticed. when coming off the accelerator pedal, the car jolts twice in succession, as if someone is touching the brakes.I might be jumping to conclusions here, but you guys tell me what you think of my diagnosis.

Slightly uneven idle on startup from cold, high revving engine till warmed up.

Jerky car when coming off accelerator pedal.

conclusion..... faulty throttle body assembly?? I know on this engine there is no accelarator cable or throttle potentiometer or idle adjuster... its all as one unit in the throttle body assembly. What do you guys think? I noticed a guy with a micra in an earlier post having the same sort of problems and coming to the same conclusion.

let me know please

cheers

It could be quite a few things. First, check the obvious, look pipes hoses, loose air intake truncking, loose electrical connectors or damaged wiring.

Also, I think on this model you might have a switch on the clutch pedal assy. - check that is working OK.

Other than that, you may have to go to a dealer for a diagnostic check.
