The message from "Dave Plowman (News)" contains these words:

Talking of which, I've had sodding British Gas at the door /again/. I won't bore you wih why I'm never ever going back to them, but I'm going to send them a recorded devilry letter informing them that they agree to pay me a handling fee of £30 for each future visit they make.

I shall look forward to taking them to court when they utterly fail to stop their slammers pestering me.

You know, I've been looking for years to find a tool chest made out of CrV. Bet they are lying. :)

It's a hobby.

If I get bored, I might start trying to act like an academic fool.

This isn't a forum, it's a newsgroup. Now, I don't object to being called retarded - I find nastier things in nappies quite often, but if you're going to sling insults about at least get your terminology right.

Maybe the tool-chests are made from recycled Honda soft-roaders?

You're right. I missed that.

Not to mention, of course, that the entire first post was how his company were about to start distributing these wonderful tools, before listing the marketing spin.

Yes - since when did Draper make 'quality' tools? Most of their stuff is at the bottom end.

Well they resell Elora and at one point their Draper expert 3/4" ratchets where rebadged Facom.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold. I remember "Classic-Car-World Ltd" saying something like:

Quite so; you've been told often enough about your spamming, so you'd have to be thick as a post to do that, wouldn't you?

Oh, wait a minute...
