I'm curious - why would you want it?

================================== I bought a car to use whilst I'm refurbishing my main car. This temporary car shows a comparatively low mileage but examination of the car during a basic service suggests that it's done a much higher mileage. I hope to get some kind of confirmation of the true mileage from one or more previous owners as I will probably sell it on when I've finished with it and I don't want to be selling a car which has possibly been clocked.

I dont suppose you have much choice about selling on a clocked car if its clocked - you cant define how much its been clocked so its a simple case of buyer-beware - when I bought mine it had totally different milage to that on HPI, but i bought it anyway as I could see the condition of the vehicle (and the fact that it had a replacement engine after a HG blow). What are you going to do if you find it has been clocked - tell the people who come to buy and lose multiple hundreds? You're a better man than most if you are!

The Saab had 152k miles on Sat am, 150k+ on each of it's last two MOTs - and now has 94k.

I wouldn't get too excited, nothing's going to happen.

it makes no odds to us, you dont even need to display the mileage, all we enter in the mileage section is Not Displayed.

In other words, the mileage tracking on MOTs is utterly useless, and actively counter-productive, since it could easily lull people into a false sense of security.

Even when it clearly is displayed?

no if its displayed we enter the displayed mileage, but ive had one vehicle display one mileage at the time of test & display another mileage at the re-test, its called mileage correction these days, but ours isnt to question why ours is just to do or die !
