My Ulysse has two vacuum pipes from the throttle body;- one to a sensor high under the windscreen scuttle and one short length to a diaphragm arrangement over the injectors. My question is is any sort of rubber tube ok because I used some advance/retard tubing thick walled 5mm/3/16th internal diam and although i can see only a very slight amount of cracking around the joint to the diaphragm( caused by the unsported tube moving I guess) replacing it seems to cure the problems i am having. This was fitted only 6 weeks ago. For these relatively long runs in pipes should i be using a different sort of tube?Plastic rather than rubber? They just push on should there be a clip? Thanks for any info.
