Re: Definitely worth reading - affects all ECU-controlled cars

And it's *SO* ridiculous, that clearly nobody is gonna believe it :)

Yup! I was going to reply last night that you were spouting bollocks, but then I realised what day it was! ROTFLMAO.

Not even original bollocks - remember the run-up to Y2k, and the number of people seriously panicking about whether their car would work in January

Heh! To be fair though, I did cobble it together in less than a minute, boredom and all that :-)

Was thinking up a potentially slightly more original one entitled "traffic wardens given powers to ticket cars in heavy traffic jams", the theory behind it being that they should be using their initiative to avoid the queues and find other routes, or pay the fine :-)

But that'll wait until next year....

*Sweet*.... That'd work BEAUTIFULLY over on uk.transport, maybe x-posted to uk.rec.cycling. I'd give it a week's active "discussion"....

How big a bunch of goldfish do you think we are?

I did see a TV prog the other day where a spoof traffic warden was ticketing people as they pulled up in a pay and display zone before they even had a chance to reach the ticket machine

Go to London and you'll see real traffic wardens doing pretty much that all the time.
