I have a couple of light scratches pretty much just laquer deep and wanted to know how to get them out ?
I've spent and hour with safe cut on them with no joy, it was recommended by the man at halfords. Made my scratches look super shiny though :-)
what about this I get some fine grade wet and dry gently rub down and buy a laquer auerosol and spray over ?

Wet and dry works. I find super resin polish works well on this sort of stuff as I think it's a chemical action that eats the paint rather than abrasive. Mask off *all* the rest of the car if you're going to spray a bit. Getting overspray off windows on the other side of the car is a pain :D.
