Renault Laguna 2.0 1998 "S" Front Wheel Bearing

Anyone changed the front wheel bearing on a Laguna 2.0 Estate (Auto) 1998 ?

Is it a difficult job to DIY ? Does the bearing need to be pressed in ? Likely cost if I chicken out and take it to a garage ? Things to watch out for ? Is this a common fault ? Any help greatly appreciated

Cheers Paul

Yes, you need a press to get the bearing off and a new one back on. If it's an ABS model you can get the cheaper "standard" bearing and transfer the "ABS magnetic ring" with a little care This will save you around a tenner.

Yes (and not the only one...). IIRC they're somewhere around the hundred quid mark fitted.
