The most basic of kits is just a stick taped to one corner. I believe that if you use these while learning to drive, you must remove them for the test.
I doubt there's much difference, given that the difficult bit is fitting the sensors into the rear bumper - anything else would look very strange.

I fitted one a few months after passing my test and it was useful, it made me realise that even though I thought I was about to bump into something, I was still 6ft away from it.
Then it broke, I got rid of it and now I can reverse park perfectly well without them.

and have a look at the spoilers on some of the cars. Apparently boy racers use them to push the cars into a space, like a big handle. I can't reverse park - I often drive around looking for a massive space so I can drive in. I also hate car parks, especially at tesco. Why put such narrow spaces that prevent people opening doors or turning as they reverse out. The disabled spaces should be the standard size. Some of the prestige cars in those spaces (thanks to motability) like Mercedes, Jaguar, Lexus and Range Rover do need bigger spaces. That would be the best place for DHSS fraud investigators to sit watching.
True... but rather like first time sex - you get a few moments of intense pleasure followed by fond memories of the event for the rest of your life.
