One for the panel
Son's car check engine light came on, he said radio went off, indicator was working but no indicator light on dash
Engine drove fine for the next hundred yards until he pulled up
When he took the keys out some of the little lights on the switches (electric windows etc stayed on)
He tried to restart engine turned over fine but wouldn't start
Radio now working
Left car 5 mins tried again started but cut out after a second then wouldn't restart
Same again several more times over the next half hour
Tank quarter full
Checked earth straps all fine
Called out RAC who said most likely the little fuel pump in the tank. Doesn't explain the odd electrical behaviour however
He checked the car with his fault reader laptop reported no faults
Are picking up the car in the morning to take to the garage
Any ideas?
