Just had a battery warning light come on spasmodically on my 52 Reg Mondeo 1.8 LX. Went to my usual garage and he checked Alternator and was charging ok so we surmised it was battery problem. Original battery still fitted since 2002. Red dot showing in battery window so that decided the issue.
Did not have a battery in stock so I went to local Tyre/Battery/ Exhaust place who did have one. I specifically asked him for one for my Mondy.
Fitted normal battery. I now find that, according to the handbook, I should have had a Silver/Calcium one fitted.
Do I have a problem.
