Snail mucus on headling of my BMW 335d

I recently took a load of garden waste to the dump (now that my council has= stopped free collections). A few hours after the trip, I noticed some trai= ls on the headlining of the car. A rogue snail had concealed itself inside = one of the bags and escaped during the journey. It covered an impressive di= stance on the headlining, weaving a wandering path all over the place befor= e finally perching itself on the front passenger seatbelt. I'm left with a right mess of snail trail. My choices seem to be: i) Release a few more snails onto the headlining to cover it more evenly an= d then pretend that the resulting pattern is a design feature ii) Clean the snail trail I'm for option ii), but I fear that I might make a right mess of it. Anyone= got any experience of this?

Cheers,

Jim.

Apparently it is best to leave it to dry completely and then brush it off with a dry nailbrush.
