i have a 99 polo 1.4.
for the first few miles when i brake i hear a really loud sceaching noise under the car..it can be really loud..but it does go off when car is warmed up. and it only comes on when i really push hard on brakes.
should i get it seen too??

Well it would seem sensible.
Just remove the pads and clean everything up. A smear of grease on the back of the 'anti-squeal' shims will help. DaveK.
I agree, taking care not to get the grease anywhere else.
Having said that, if you can smell burning, whatever is causing the squeal might burn off in a week or two.
