Hi there, Ive been trying to fix my tailgate light now that I actually need it with the dark mornings and nights. First I checked the bulb - OK.Checked the switch wiring - OK. Made a temp Earth to the circuit and it worked, though it bypassed the switch and stayed on all the time. I can't think of anything else. The car is a Vauxhall Astra 2000 model. wiring from the switch is brown/white which is soldered onto the grey/white for the bulb assembly (can't trace where this wire goes though it must have something to do with the problem. And the permanent red to the bulb assembly is also OK. Thanks for any help in advance,
