That "misfiring" Mondeo again ...

Hmmm .. I said, she said, I thought, you heard ...

Daughter gave me a lift home from the station today in her "misfiring" Mondeo. She didn't mean "misfiring" when she discribed the problem - well, she might have, but that's clearly not what's happening. There was an earlier post from Ted (Munns?) asking about two problems on his Mondeo, and I think his description of "the car starts small forward, backward kangaroo type motions with the car fighting to increase then decrease speed" is also quite a good description of the fault with my Daughter's car. Faulty o2 or DFPE sensors were suggested.

Please, where are these to be found, and is it a straightforward DIY job to replace them? (And presuming o2 to be oxygen, what is a DFPE sensor anyway?)

first thing to look for is an air leak
