Anyone know where I can buy tools in the Bury/Bolton area.

I'm after a 1/4 inch Deep Socket set, but can't find much locally. My local Halfords don't do any 1/4 inch only sets, or even sockets on a rail (they do 3/8).

Also, what's Franklin stuff like. My local store stocks it.

I've got a 1/4" and 3/8" Kamaza set which has Metric, AF and BA. It probably gets more use than my 1/2" set. Wasn't expensive, and I've not broken it. Might be worth looking for a dealer in your area. However, it's quite old, so may not be still made.

Halfords professional range is pretty good stuff, and the used to do a 1/4 inch set. These days unfortunately they are too busy selling s**te to boy racers that selling anything useful!

I'm pretty sure if you look hard enough, you'll find a decent tool shop in your area somewhere, your not out in the wilderness exactly! Try looking for a local engineers merchants.

Teng make pretty good socket sets, for a reasonable price.
