Vectra 1.8 2003 O2 - UPDATE

Jan 30, 2014 5 Replies

It was producing a very regular P0130 pending fault code, for the front O2 sensor. A pending code which never turned into a stored fault code.

One of his other problems was the engine not getting to temperature, which seemed to be the coolant stat. He replaced that several days ago, since which time he is suggesting the PO130 code has not reappeared. Is that likely / possible?

if the coolant never got to heat then the mixture would always be rich?

Would that be enough to trigger the 130 code, or is he still looking for a potential problem please?

I really cannot answer that, but it is always best to fix known faults before looking for anything else.

OK, thanks for that.

Don't be a lazy bastard, Blumfeld. Sort it out yourself.
