Vibration

Accuired a mondeo a couple of months ago,1.8 zetec 1994,had a clutch fitted a month back as well as the rear torque restrictor(rear gearbox mount)as ford told me,now the problem i seem to have is intermittant and it's regarding going from 2nd to 3rd,when i release the clutch in 3rd i get a vibration through the car same as if i come from 4th to 3rd very slight vibration through the car just when the clutch is released, I have also noticed that the gear lever wobbles/vibrates about if i hold the car on a hill. It goes into gear fine and pulls ok any ideas as to where i start looking as its been back to fords and they say its ok but it shouldnt vibrate, Apparantly theres a big mount underneath the gearbox???a big round one so i've been told would this maybe be at fault??

Sorry about the long post-many thaks

sounds like a clutch or flywheel fault, or possibly excess endfloat on the crank

Well if the main gearbox mounts gone soft then it all floats about a bit.

Simondo ( snipped-for-privacy@anon.co.uk) gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying :

Mondeo. Clutch.

Subframe out job, right?

Don't I recall hearing that you have to put them back together ever so carefully else they'll "Never drive right again"?
