Hi,
I have a friend who needs a replacement perkins diesel for his vw lt 35 camper van. Does anyone know of other vehicles that this engine is fitted to so that he can get hold of a replacement?
He was unlucky enough for the cylinder lining to crack after 1 week of ownership :-(

Volvo 240 Diesel (and presumably also the 740 Diesel) are using the 6 cylinder 2.4l VW LT engine.
Oops.
Its not a Perkins engine, its a VW, and they are not the best about! Volvo used a slightly modifyed version in the 700 series, though the chances of finding one thats still got some life in it is abit remote. They're about kaput at 150k.
