I saw this spray that you apply to your tyres for temporary grip in the snow:
I had winter tyres on my last car but sold the car and can't afford new tyres at the moment. I have got rain expert on at the moment, which is often recommended here, I think by Steve. I think he said they worked well in the snow, so perhaps I don't need winter tyres after all? BTW I think he said the tyres were £50 each. Where did you get them from, I'm sure mine were twice that?
I do wonder about wearing winter tyres all year round. After all, we hardly get any summer do we? It would save the cost of a second set of rims and storage.
