Blimey!
Ka Cd 0.36, effective frontal area of 1.88m2
What ruins the Ka's aerodynamics is the bubbly rear end, which produces lots of turbulence! :)

That may be so. When I first got Lucy, the Mondeo TD, I _delighted_ in being able to soot cranky gits in their flasher motors stuck behind me. After 20K of Dervy treatment, though, and I suppose TLC, the soot output was dramatically reduced. A MOT smoke test figure of 0.65 for her first MOT under my ownership rings a bell, and about 0.3 for the second MOT! :)
We change the oil and filter in ours every 5,000 miles, although of course Ford say this is overkill. Mind you, we've one Ka that did 9,500 miles in five and a half years, used most days, without seeing so much as an oil change "because it didn't cover 10,000 miles" - it dropped a tappet and so was rattling away like a 1970s diesel!
How else can I justify wanting a V8 Mustang.
Heh, yes, very true! In fairness, having driven the BMW 320d, it doesn't feel all that torquey, probably because it's very highly geared. Indeedy, I so wanted to lurve the 320d, I was disappointed when it didn't feel especially chuckable or quick in a diesely way. :(
You know . . . I can't remember, heh! :)
