I wonder if someone could kindley help. I have a problem with accelaration. when I press the accelerator on my Mazda 323 1.8i, the speed goes up slightly but then just ceases to increase and the rev counter just keeps going higher. then i change the gear and the same thing happens again. This happens in all gears. every time i try to increase my spead quickly, it won't happen, the rev counter goes up the engine make heavy reving noise bnut the cars speed does not increase. I would be grateful if you could advise what the problem is , gearbox, or clutch, or something else?

Certainly sounds like classic "Clutch system" problem..
Sounds like a severely slipping clutch asking to be replaced.
Probably worn clutch linings; you should also smell burning asbestos (or whatever they use these days). Check the thing isn't simply out of adjustment first; there must be some free play in the pedal.
Problem One--Mazda 323 1.8i--not a miata Problem Two--Slipping clutch-Wornout?, Contaminated with oil or grease?
accelaration.
Don't tell him, he's having delusions of grandeur, thinking his cheap Kraut crap is a Miata!
Aren't you getting your racial slurs mixed up? So little time, so many potential insults to be made ....Kraut crap!? come on now, play nice.

Wonder which is more objectionable, racial slurs or top posting....
Sloppy thinking, ridiculous comparisons, and Gestapo tendencies.

No thinking, no sense of humor and idiotic top posting.
Agreed! Thanks Larry.
