Bad Experience at EDGE RACING

Sadly, I'd thought I'd gotten an outstanding deal on Toyo T1S tires. Went to Edge Racing where Eric promised me when I ordered them that my card wouldn't be charged until the tires shipped. 3 days later my card is charged, tires not shipped. There then followed about three phone calls during which each rep assured me they'd be sent the next day, or a couple of days. When I called today and was told the shipment had been put on hold until Friday, I immediately cancelled the order and was told my card would be reimbursed within 3 days.

These idiots sound almost like a con game.

It'll tell allot if you get reimbursed or if they keep saying that you should be reimbursed TOMORROW!

It's now 4 days since they promised my account would be credited with the $336 they said they wouldn't charge my card for until the tires were shipped. Up to this point, it looks like I may have to fight for my money.

BTW, I ordered 4 Falken Azenis from Vulcan Tire

and they're sitting up in the Cumberland UPS depot awaiting delivery tomorrow. I paid $202 (including shipping) for 4 195/60-14 Azenis.

I'll keep you guys posted.

It's now over 4 business days since Edge Racing promised they would credit my account for the money they said they wouldn't take for the tires they didn't ship.

A fight looms. I'll keep y'all posted.

Call your credit-card company and explain what happened and dispute the charge. They'll most likely take care of it and you needn't get your blood-pressure up. Really. Try it.

Good point, Dana. Fortunately, the credit showed up today. Actually, the staff was quite pleasant and the operation could be alright, but after a business tells me one thing and does another (especially with my money and to their credit) I get a bit suspicious of their subsequent actions.

BTW, I believe Kempi had made the original reference to the sale at Edge Racing, and I meant to assure him that I appreciated that reference; in fact, I ended up going to Vulcan Tire (also recommended by Kempi in that post) and getting my Azenis tires. Outstanding deal at $202 shipped!
