I was tinkering in my miata this weekend, installing a heat sheild for the K&N cone style filter to replace my stock air box, hopefully discouraging hot air from the exhaust manifold from being sucked into the filter. I used plain old 22 guage steel sheet metal. This works fairly well and I'm pleased. Some where along the line, I moved it out of the way and in between the retractor motor and the P/S resevoir. Obviously a dumb move.
After getting it in, bolted down, I noticed my headlights no longer retract, they were up while I was doing the fitment.
I don't believe I pinched a wire, and they do not look stripped or cut by the retractor.
I'm looking for any help, pinouts for the Drivers side retractor motor would be great. And if anybody knows how to trick my miata into thinking it's connected so I can test to see if it was just a conincidence and something else failed.
Thanks, Karl
