Hey Karl - did you check the fuse in the main block? It's the big green one in the fuseblock under the hood - over on the passenger side.

I can e-mail you off-list with the checklist for the retractor motors if you'd like.

If the doors were up when you were working on your car, means you must have had the button on the center of your dash pushed in. Check this first.

Thanks, I did check a fuse, a 10 amp I think. Maybe I got the wrong one, and I'll give that a look.

I don't think this failed, but releasing the button, they just stayed up. The hazard lights still work. I'll check that if the other stuff leads me to it, but that's a good bit of stuff to take out to get to it.

Any other ideas?

I have the later workshop manual, so my wiring diagrams are different.

I would have bet money on that. As it turned out, the dash wash button had burned out. Put a test one in it worked fine. I opened up the old one, there was a circuit that had burned about an 1/8th of an inch.

After replacing it, all's well again.
