That body looks real nice and Arizona is unbelievably friendly to old steel car bodies, rust-wise. And Miatas are apparently pretty easy to piece together. Looks like fun; wish I could play.

It's the same price, only $1500, but it dosesn't run; needs timing chain.

What a great price for one of the extra-rare '84 models! You never see any of those still on the street.

Yes, I did. I thought of posting it here but I didn't because I didn't want you guys beating me to it!

I think parts are hard to get, I called the dealer and asked about a timing chain for an '85 Miata, it was hard to hear over the laughter but I think they said they didn't have any?

That's because replacement timing chains are nearly impossible to find anymore.

Well Lanny, I think you can get them NOW for the 2006 and on, but I'm sure they stopped them with the American 1998, so they just don't make them now. Hay, maybe that's why they didn't make 1998 Miatas for the US. ( They stopped production when they found out Miatas don't use chains it there engines. ) :-)
