Possible to polish the regular alloy wheels to '94 M likeness?

Hey all,

I've got the '90-'93 7 spoke alloy OEM wheels, 2 from the top on this page:

I noticed the polished 7 spoke '94 M alloys 5 from the top on that page.

Recalling that the valve cover can be polished

got me thinking. Is it possible to likewise polish the regular alloys?
