1994 E420 valve cover removal (hard to remove)

I'm fixing ticking sound (maybe broken oil tubes) on left side of engine and need to remove valve cover. I've removed cover bolts but the cover seems to be stuck. Any tricks to remove and do I need to remove distributor to get it off?
