450SL Tightening Exhaust Manifold Bolts

Oct 11, 2004 1 Replies

Any suggestions on what type of wrench is best for tightening the right bank exhaust manifold's lower 4 nuts? I know the size - I just can't seem to get on them with any wrench that I have.

Until now, I thought I had a good tool assortment, but it seems one never has them all. I have a so-called manifold wrench, but it is not metric and I cannot seem to find a metric one. I wonder if Mercedes has a special wrench for that job?

Thanks for help anyone can send my way.

Leonard

I Don't know what that car looks like, but I usually prefer a six sided box wrench for that job...

Sorry if that won't fit or isn't helpful.
