Hi, My friend has got a new c class coupe. She has a small dog which she leaves in the car for short periods. She can lock the car using the key, which doesn't activate the alarm....but it doesn't lock the trunk ( boot in uk ) . The trunk/boot has no keyhole. So, how do you lock all of the car doors, including the trunk/boot, but without activating the alarm? thanks........

You're kidding, right? Leaving any pet in a closed car is dangerous as temperatures rise very quickly. And if she leaves the window open for the dog, why lock it?

What does the dealer say?
DAS
For direct contact replace nospam with schmetterling
RTFM (Read the Fine Manual). Your friend should be able to disable the 'interior movement sensor' by pushing the lower half of the switch with picture of a car and a hook. Or by pushing the switch with a picture of a car with a couple a saucers in the interior. The dealer should have explained this to her at 'hand-over' RTFM.
PS NEVER LEAVE A DOG IN A CAR HOWEVER SMALL
