The best thing to do is fully charge the battery.
Then, with the battery fully charged, pre-glow it two or three times.
That's ON wait ten seconds beyond the glow light going off, OFF, then ON
again - glow, OFF, then ON, glow and START.
Do not add anything to the fuel and NEVER use either or starting fluid
as these may crack the engine's prechambers.
Not that you'll do it right now, but when were the engine's valves last
Unadjusted valves cause lost compression and that's a big setback to an
old motor like this one.
So charge up that battery and hit the road!
