A buddy of mine who was recently helping me out with some work on my car told me that he thinks i probably have an exhaust leak somehwere. He didn't think it could be particularly serious, but school's just finished for me, so I thought i may as well take a swing at fixing the problem. That said, i have no idea where to start, and if anyone has any advice, it'd be helpful. What do i need to repair it, and how do i go about doing so? How should i find the elak itself? will it be immediately obvious? can i use somethign like muffler cement, or do i need to be doign naythign more drastic? As I say, any insight would be helpful, and, if it makes any difference, the car's a 1978 280CE.
