When I took my car to the dealer for the "faulty" Service A reminder, they mentioned that my 2005MY S430 also needed to updates--for the comand module and an audio gateway update. What are these updates for?

They are software updates to correct small problems or stop them from happening..... kind of like something you have to do with a Micro$oft product!
