Re; The Italian Job Tour 2007

Hi there Mini fans I am organising a trip to Italy again this year to visiit the film locations used in the 1969 film, The Italian Job. Leaving Dover on the afternoon of 3rd July, stay over in a Formula 1 hotel in Bethune, the next two days are spent driving through the picturesque French countyside, arriving in Italy on the evening of the 5th. Friday 6th July see us visiting the tunnel where the Lamboghini crashes, the site where Professor Peach picks the flowers and then on to the St Grand Bernard Pass to see where the opening scenes were filmed, and where the 3 Mini's were pushed out of the coach. The weekend will be spent in a 3 star hotel in Turin where we will see most of the locations used there. On Monday we head back, but first we visit the cliff hanger scene, a mile and a half above sea level ! This is the high light of the week, and I save it 'till last..... The next few days are spent driving back through France and Switzerland, until we get the ferry on the evening of Wednesday 11 th July. This is the fourth year I have done this tour, and have had crews come back several times (Fitzy and his mates from the Liverpool area) For further details, contact snipped-for-privacy@ntlworld.com or visit my web site ( under construction at the moment ) at

I have my name down for this years tour, if your in to minis and the movie, then this has got to be one of the best mini adventures you can participate in, Its not a mad dash to Italy and back, its a leisurely drive through France, through the breath taking scenery of the alps, the Mont Blanc tunnel, down to Turin, with time to taste and the foods and wines of the different areas, EXCELLENT Fitzy

Would love to do it this year, but am off to the DTM at the Nordschleife, followed by a blast through the alps, then down for a week on the Cote d'azur. Should be a nice little trip via some of the passes and lakes. All at the start of September, which includes the Oktoberfest as well..... overdraft alert !
