When I press on my brake pedal the side lights and dash light come on (if the headlights are off). If I have my headlights on the dash lights will go out if I press the brake pedal. Has anyone seen this problem? Or know of a solution?

I would say you have a short some where in your electrical system. Unhook your brakes and see what happens. If your dashboard lights come on, there is a short in that side of the harness.
You have a earthing problem on the rear brake lights, the earthing route goes through the dashbord lights via the rear light cluster instead of via the vehicle earth,Check your earthing and all rear bulbs.
