Your logic is flawed. Your box replaces the IAT sensor with a fake signal. If it reads cold, the ECU will assume denser air and calculate a longer injector pulse. This will RICHEN the car up and reduce power. This will also probably cause you to fail emissions. An AFC is a far better idea as it modifies the air flow signal and can be adjusted by RPM and throttle position. Short of a total ECU replacement, this is a better solution.
