I am looking for someone that has replaced the front brake rotors on a 2002 Montero Sport 2wd. I have always done the brake work on my older cars, but when I took off the front hub caps and saw some extra hardware I decided to obtain a manual. I bought an OEM service manual which indicates the need for some special tools and equipment which I am certain I cannot obtain. I am almost ready to just take it to the dealer for the replacement of the pads and rotors, but I'd rather do it myself if I could just get a little advice. Will I be able to remove the jam nut without the special tool (MB990954)? Any other tips I need to know? Thanks for reading this far.
