i just purchased a 2003 montero sport ls. i will be towing a 2200 lbs tent trailer. one sourse for specs says they are all equiped with a transmission oil cooler when i contacted the service dept of my dealer they said adding one would be a good idea, while the guy in the parts department said " i think it's cooled through the radiator already". anybody know for sure?

the tranny fluid is cooled through the radiator, but it's very meager.. adding an external cooler mounted in front of the radiator will definetly help keep the temperatures at bay.
