The clutch pedal return spring on my 2000 Eclipse squeaks when the pedal is depressed and also when it is released. Any ideas on how to quiet the spring?

Have someone depress the clutch pedal while you spray silicone lube on the spring and pivots. Make sure that you put a rag behind the spring while doing this to catch the overspray.
